Holiday Parties at a Winter Lodge in Cedaredge, CO

Here's how most holiday parties go. Dinner. A few drinks. Maybe a gift exchange. Then everybody's checking the time because they've got a long drive home.

There's a better way to do it.

Cedaredge Lodge is a little winter lodge in Cedaredge, CO, right at the foot of the Grand Mesa. Bring your crew up for the night. Eat, laugh, warm up by the woodstove, and walk to your room when the party's over. Nobody has to rush off, and nobody has to drive home in the dark.

It works for a company Christmas party, a family holiday get-together, or a bunch of friends who just need a weekend away.

Pull Up a Chair by the Woodstove

Our bar area has a cozy woodstove, and in the colder months it's the first place

everybody heads.

Come in from the snow, kick off your boots, grab a drink, and find a seat by the fire. It's not a banquet hall, and that's the point. It's a warm room where people actually talk to each other.

If your group wants to spread out, there's more room to play:

Game Room

Pool, darts, foosball, air hockey, Skee-Ball, and board games. Fair warning, things get competitive.

Covered Party Patio

It has its own woodstove, a full kitchen, and a BBQ.

Common Area

Room for a sit-down meal, a gift exchange, or an ugly sweater contest.

We're happy to help line up catering, too. Just tell us what your group has in mind.

Stay the Night, Skip the Drive

Having rooms right on site is the best part. Once the party winds down, everybody just heads back to their room.

Our rooms are rustic and cozy, full of handcrafted woodwork, and every one has its own kitchen or kitchenette. We've got king suites, family rooms, The Nest upstairs with its own balcony, and The Crown Jewel, a two-story A-frame that sleeps eight and has its own woodstove.

And you'll spend a lot less than you would at a big ski resort. If you've been comparing hotels in Cedaredge, CO for your group, give us a call and we'll walk you through it.

Then wake up slow. Make some coffee. There's nowhere you have to be.

Spend the Day on the Grand Mesa

The Grand Mesa is 12 minutes up the road, and winter is when it really shines.

Depending on conditions, your group can go:

  • Cross-country skiing

  • Snowshoeing

  • Sledding

  • Snowmobiling

  • Ice fishing

  • Winter hiking

Or build a snowman in our yard. We won't judge.

Spend the day out in the snow, then come back and thaw out by the woodstove. Of all the Grand Mesa lodges, we'd like to think we've got the coziest place to end the day.

Not Everyone Wants to Be Out in the Cold

That's okay, too. Some folks would rather browse the shops in town, book a massage, or try a wine or cider tasting.

The Grand Mesa Arts & Event Center usually has concerts, films, and other Delta County events going on over the holidays.

So half the group goes snowshoeing, the other half goes shopping, and everybody meets back at the lodge for dinner. That's a good day.
